Natural Rhythms & Liminal Space

Natural Rhythms

The New Moon and Fall Equinox invite us to find peace in the beautiful dualities of this life—beginnings and endings, holding on and letting go. We are in a constant relationship with this filling up and pouring out. Balance is not steady but rather requires the ability to shift and adjust to keep all that is being held equally supported.

Learning to exist in this space with a gentleness for who we are now, who we once were, and who we are becoming is an incredible experience. Think of the edge between a forest and a meadow. This liminal space is the most diverse in nature, supporting a rich variety of plants and animals. We, too, can find incredible diversity and growth in the spaces between where we've been and where we're going.

New Moon Reflection

During the New Moon, we can take time to reflect and simply be a witness to what is shifting in our lives. What do we need to hold on to, and what needs to fall away, so that we may continue growing and evolving into our best selves?

The Fall Equinox

Not only did we experience a new moon, but it was also the Fall Equinox, which further enhances the energy of this time. It urges us to see the balance in the duality of life—to exist between night and day, the space between two truths, and a time of growth and decay.

The Lunar Eclipse

To add to all of this wonderful energy, we also had a partial lunar eclipse. This is a powerful reminder that the process of change and release does not have to be absolute. In a partial eclipse, some of the sun's light remains visible, reminding us that while some old patterns may remain, our true self and journey to wholeness is still a guiding light leading us on the path.

It's okay to be in this place of transition, even if it's uncomfortable. As you navigate these powerful energies, consider taking some time to pause and reflect. Grab a cup of tea and a cozy blanket and journal your thoughts. What are you holding on to? What needs to fall away? How can you find balance in the space between? Can you find the stillness, the quiet comfort in the knowing that this is all part of the process of being alive.
